Sue is originally from a family farm at Cudal. She graduated with a Bachelor of Animal Science at CSU Wagga, and finished her PhD in ruminant nutrition in December 2018.
Sue has had a wide range of different jobs, from working as a research assistant extracting plant DNA from sheep faecal samples to try and detect plant poisoning, to working and studying overseas in the Falkland Islands for the Department of Agriculture as an agricultural advisor in livestock nutrition and management from 2016 to 2018.
Once Sue returned to Australia, she worked for Central Tablelands Local Land Services as part of the Ag team, until joining the Central West Local Land Services Ag team in 2019 as the Senior Land Services Officer – Livestock, based in Dubbo.
Sue currently works for the Department of Primary Industries as a Research Officer for the Extensive Livestock Unit, based in Wagga.
